Zelenskyy rejected Putin’s proposed ceasefire during Victory Day celebrations

Vladimir Zelenskyy rejected the truce proposed by Russian President Vladimir Putin for the period of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

‘An immediate, complete and unconditional ceasefire – and for at least 30 days to be guaranteed and reliable – is something that can provide the basis for real diplomacy,’ Vladimir Zelenskyy wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to him, the fire should be stopped for 30 days, as ‘it is impossible to agree on anything in three, five, seven days’.

We will remind, earlier Vladimir Putin said that Russia, ‘based on humanitarian considerations’, will declare a truce during the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
