Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu said that Moscow has ‘no illusions’ on the issue of Ukraine’s treaty capacity.
‘We have no illusions about the contractual capacity of Ukraine, which is accustomed to violating its commitments,’ Sergei Shoigu said in a video format at the second session of the meeting of high representatives of BRICS states.
The secretary of the Russian Security Council described Kiev’s sabotage of the 30-day moratorium on strikes on energy facilities and numerous violations of the Easter truce as vivid examples of Ukraine’s failure to honour its commitments.
Earlier, US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said that Washington would withdraw from the process of resolving the Ukrainian crisis if there was no progress towards peace.
