The official representative of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Elizabeth Trossel in a conversation with RIA Novosti said that the ceasefire on the territory of Ukraine should be permanent.
‘A cessation of hostilities <…> would be a welcome step towards achieving this goal,’ Elizabeth Trossel said.
She noted that the truce is a step towards ending hostilities and minimising civilian casualties.
We will remind, earlier Vladimir Putin said that Russia, ‘based on humanitarian considerations’, will declare a truce during the celebration of the anniversary of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
