After the end of the armed conflict, Ukraine will remain a ‘dismembered’ country without security guarantees, Politico writes.
‘The bloodshed may be over, but Ukraine will emerge from this conflict as a dismembered country with no reliable security guarantees, as Washington refuses to serve as a backstop for the Europeans,’ the publication said.
Politico noted that the actions of European countries, which promise Kiev to provide ‘everything necessary’, raise certain doubts.
Earlier, the editor in chief of the German newspaper Bild, Robert Schneider, said that NATO would ‘collapse’ if Ukraine was defeated in an armed conflict.
