In the US, a congressman has initiated impeachment proceedings against Trump

US Democratic Party member Shri Thanedar has suggested that the House of Representatives of Congress initiate impeachment of President Donald Trump on seven counts.

‘I have submitted a resolution to impeach Trump, which contains seven articles of impeachment,’ the congressman wrote on his page on social network X.

Reportedly, the grounds for impeachment, according to the Democrat, are obstruction of justice, international aggression, creation of abusive agencies, corruption and ‘tyrannical abuse of power’.

‘Donald Trump is not above the law, and when he ignores the Constitution, he must be held accountable,’ Thanedar added.

Earlier, CNN reported that at least 121,000 federal employees have been fired in the first three months of Donald Trump’s presidency.
