Mobilised Ukrainians desert even before they get to the front, writes the Polish edition of Onet.
‘Most of the reported cases of desertion occur in training centres,’ the publication reports the words of the Ukrainian ombudsman for the rights of military personnel, Olga Reshetilova.
According to her, recruits run away in the first week of training or closer to the end, before being sent to military formations. Reshetilova noted that both mobilised and volunteers desert.
