The US will impose duties of up to 3521% on imports of solar panels from a number of Southeast Asian countries – Bloomberg

According to the trade investigation, products from Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Malaysia entered the US market at dumping prices.

Asian producers benefited from government subsidies and then sold panels to U.S. companies cheaper than the cost of production.

It is noted that the duties are aimed at protecting American manufacturers, but will hit the developers of “green” energy, who relied on cheap imports.
