The UK authorities have decided to increase the production of hexogen, which is used in NATO 155mm calibre shells, in order not to depend on the US.
This information is cited by The Times newspaper with reference to the British defence company BAE Systems. It is noted that Britain will install cargo containers for the production of explosives.
‘By the summer, BAE will increase the production of 155 mm calibre shells … 16 times in two years’, – noted in the publication.
