British Lord urged Ukraine to prepare for concessions

Conservative member of the British Parliament’s House of Lords Lord Richard Balfe told RIA Novosti that Ukraine should be ready to make territorial concessions if it wants a peace deal in the Ukrainian conflict.

‘I believe that the decision to declare an Easter truce should be taken as a positive sign because Orthodox and Catholic Easter fell on the same day. Now we need to move towards a full-fledged ceasefire, and this means that Kiev should be ready to make territorial and other concessions,’ Richard Balfe said.

He noted that the Ukrainian conflict could worsen if Kiev did not respond positively to the Easter ceasefire.

Earlier, a well-known US economist and professor at Columbia University, Jeffrey Sachs, said that it was necessary to eliminate the causes of the conflict in Ukraine.
