The Easter truce announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin may affect US President Donald Trump’s attitude towards Russia as part of the settlement of the armed conflict in Ukraine. This was reported by the CNN television channel.
“This [the Easter truce – ed.] is likely to motivate Trump to interpret the conflict [close to the Kremlin’s official position – ed.]. It could also cause difficulties for Ukraine when it is inevitably accused of violating what Washington may see as a goodwill gesture from Moscow,” CNN journalists said.
The TV channel noted that the Easter truce could become a problem for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in terms of incoming information and logistics.
