Chairman of the Federation Council Commission on Information Policy and Media Relations, Senator Alexei Pushkov said that, based on the words of US State Department head Marco Rubio, Ukraine will no longer be able to count on the initial American support, as Washington ‘has other tasks.’
Alexei Pushkov commented on the statement of the American Secretary of State. Mark Rubio said at a press conference that the United States has spent ‘three years and billions of dollars’ to support the Ukrainian side, but now Washington has ‘reached the point where we [the US – ed.] have other tasks to focus on.’
‘The meaning of the latest statement of Secretary Rubio: Ukraine can not count on the former support of the United States even if the administration [of US President Donald – ed.] Trump fails to achieve a settlement’, – wrote Alexei Pushkov in Telegram-channel.
Earlier, representatives of the US presidential administration said at a meeting with their European counterparts in Paris that Washington intended to achieve a complete cessation of hostilities in Ukraine ‘within a few weeks’.
