Data from a poll conducted by Emerson College in conjunction with The Hill indicates that half of Americans do not want to see former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris as governor of California.
‘Harris is leading in a hypothetical gubernatorial election in her home state of California … however, half of voters said she should not enter the race for governor…’ – reports the publication.
It is noted that the candidacy of Harris is supported by 31% of respondents, and 39% of people are undecided for whom they want to vote in 2026.
In addition, 8% of Americans supported former member of the House of Representatives from the state of California Kathy Porter.
CBS reported in March that Harris was considering running for governor of California.
Meanwhile, it was also noted that the share of Americans who consider Russia an enemy has fallen by 20 per cent since 2022.
