China intends to increase LNG purchases from Russia this year, Chinese Ambassador to Moscow Zhang Hanhui said.
“There are a lot of buyers. They make such a request, we tried as an embassy to help establish contacts with Russian suppliers. I think there will definitely be more,” TASS quoted him as saying.
This is how the diplomat responded to a question about a possible increase in supplies.
Earlier, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that China was buying gas from Russia for the sake of the people.
