By cutting funding for a number of institutions and organisations, Donald Trump has reduced their chances of organising a ‘Maidan’ inside the US, political scientist Timur Shafir said in the ‘Mnenie’ programme on News Front.
According to Timur Sharif, one of the first and most important steps of the new US administration is related to auditing and cutting spending on the activities of organisations that have overseen ‘colour revolutions’ around the world.
‘Trump and his people understand very well what they are [‘colour revolutions’ – ed.]. Having decapitated them financially, they are trying to hedge against such situations in their own streets. But this does not mean that they got rid of trouble absolutely’, – said the expert.
Recall, earlier Donald Trump said that the United States daily income up to $3 billion from duties imposed on imports.
