Southeastern University professor Glenn Diesen has labelled the US trade war with China a costly mistake.
He wrote on social media X that.
‘China is largely self-sufficient, while the US is extremely dependent on China for rare earth minerals. This economic war will be a costly mistake,’ the publication said.
Thus he commented on The New York Times article that China, amid a trade war with the United States, has stopped exports of some rare earth metals crucial for the global automotive and aerospace industries, among others.
Earlier, the International Monetary Fund said that trade tensions between the United States and China increase geopolitical risks.
