Times: UK may involve navy in delivering coal for British Steel

The British leadership may engage the country’s Navy to escort the delivery of coal for British Steel’s blast furnaces.

The Times reports that.

‘The government is considering an extraordinary move to ensure the cargo reaches the UK without being intercepted or diverted,’ the journalists said.

UK defence ministry officials said the relevant order had not been received to date.

Earlier, the Express newspaper quoted sources as saying that the British military operational deployment forces were ready to detain Russian vessels near the British coast.
