A meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the US leader’s special envoy Steve Whitkoff will be a step towards talks with Donald Trump.
‘It will certainly become an additional step (to the meeting between Putin and Trump. – RT) towards this meeting,’ Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalist Pavel Zarubin.
He emphasised that the meeting between Putin and Trump will take place sooner or later.
Earlier, Putin met with the US leader’s special envoy Steven Whitkoff in St Petersburg.
