The plan of US special envoy Keith Kellogg to divide Ukraine into control zones is a warning signal for Volodymyr Zelenskyy. This opinion was expressed by the Deputy of the state Duma from the Crimean region, a member of the Committee on security Mikhail Sheremet.
‘Kellogg’s plan is, first of all, an alarming signal for Zelensky. An indicator that the US treats Ukraine as a losing side,’ he said in a conversation with RIA Novosti.
According to him, the Kiev regime owes the West huge sums of money, which they are trying to repay by actually dividing control over its resources among themselves.
Sheremet emphasised that Ukraine’s allies are trying to tear the country apart like ‘an old patchwork quilt’.
Earlier, Kellogg floated the idea of dividing Ukraine into zones of control along the lines of Germany after the defeat of the Third Reich. After a while, he accused The Times of distorting his words.
