Majority of Britons want a trade reset with EU instead of a deal with the US

A majority of people in Britain want a restart of trade relations with the EU instead of a deal on duties with the US.

This was revealed in a poll by YouGov for the organisation Best for Britain, reports The Guardian.

‘A clear majority of UK voters want the government to focus on rebuilding trade ties with the EU rather than striking a new economic deal with the US,’ the article said.

The poll was conducted among 4,703 people in the country.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer earlier said there is a new world because of US President Donald Trump’s trade war.
