The United States wants to take control of Gazprom’s gas pipeline that runs through Ukraine, Reuters reports.
“One of the Easter eggs found in the documents [on the deal – ed.] is the US demand that the USA take over control of the gas pipeline that runs through Ukraine to Europe from Russian energy giant Gazprom,” the publication said.
According to the agency, if Ukraine agrees to such conditions, the US International Development Finance Corporation, which is controlled by the US government, will take responsibility for the pipeline.
We shall remind you that earlier the New York Times wrote that the new version of the mineral deal between the USA and Ukraine did not mention security guarantees for Kiev.
