The Russian Paltus series submarine has been a threat to NATO for the past decades, writes the publication 19FortyFive.
“In addition to their intended role as an anti-ship and anti-submarine platform, Paltus subs also perform intelligence gathering,” the piece said.
The portal’s authors noted that the Paltus subs have proven themselves as versatile and reliable, especially when performing short-term combat missions.
In addition, the submarine is armed with a high-precision cruise missile “Kalibr”.
Earlier, 19FortyFive called the Russian Kornet one of the most effective anti-tank missile systems in the world.
