China has raised duties on US goods to 125 per cent

China will increase additional duties on imported goods from the United States to 125 per cent, China Central Television reported.

 

“The tariff rate will be adjusted from 84 per cent to 125 per cent,” the statement said.

The duties will come into force from 12 April this year. In addition, the Ministry of commerce of China said that Beijing filed a lawsuit in the World Trade Organisation because of the additional increase in tariffs from Washington.

Recall, earlier the Chinese authorities announced an increase in the tariff rate from 34 to 84% on goods imported from the United States.
