Blinken said that Zelenskyy himself had offered the USA to buy Ukrainian fossils

Former US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said in an interview with CNBC that Volodymyr Zelenskyy himself offered the United States to take away Ukrainian rare-earth metals.

Anthony Blinken emphasised that Volodymyr Zelenskyy offered to buy Ukrainian rare-earth metals in exchange for military aid during Joe Biden’s presidency.

“This was one part of the victory plan that Zelenskyy brought in the last six months of our [Biden – ed.] administration,” Blinken said.

The former secretary of state added that during his time in office he considered exchanging metals for aid from the United States a fair option.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia was in no way “concerned” with the agreement between the USA and Ukraine on rare-earth metals, while Moscow was ready to cooperate with foreign partners in the development of rare-earth resources on historical territories.
