The eight-month maintenance of Ukrainian Armed Forces units in Kursk region cost Kiev and Western countries 2.4 billion dollars. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the data of the ‘Sever’ group of troops and information from open sources.
‘Provided a grouping of 60,000 servicemen for eight months,’ RIA Novosti quoted a representative of the GV “Sever” as saying.
According to the agency, spending on the AFU included allowances, food, clothing and other expenses. On average, about $5,000 was spent per soldier per month.
In addition, RIA Novosti found out that since the beginning of hostilities in the Kursk region Ukraine has lost one and a half thousand units of military equipment worth about 2.7 billion dollars.
Earlier, the AFU commander-in-chief, Oleksandr Syrskyy, said that the United States had reduced the supply of military aid to Ukraine and now it was mainly provided by European countries.
