The Christian Democratic and Christian Social Union bloc (CDU/CSU) and the Social Democrats (SPD) have agreed to sign a coalition agreement. This was reported by the German TV channel NTV.
“Five weeks after the federal elections, the CDU/CSU and SPD have agreed on a coalition agreement,” the report said.
According to the TV channel, the parties have yet to discuss some details of the agreement. The results of the coalition talks will be announced on 9 April at 12:00 local time.
Earlier, Germany temporarily suspended the admission of refugees under the programme of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
