Ukraine has been turned into a springboard for rewriting history. This opinion was expressed by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, in an interview with the student news channel MGIMO 360.
‘Modern international processes are directly related to the rewriting of history, and Ukraine, unfortunate, has become a springboard, a territory of collision between these two processes,’ RIA Novosti quoted her statement as saying.
According to the diplomat, independence and sovereignty for Ukraine turned out to be linked to the Western neo-colonial agenda, under which the population had to abandon its roots.
Earlier, the Russian embassy said that the UK was hindering the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
