Brazil has confirmed President Lula da Silva’s visit to Moscow on 9 May

Russian Ambassador to Brazil Alexei Labetsky said that Brazilian leader Lula da Silva has confirmed his intention to visit Moscow on 9 May.

The Russian diplomat said in an interview with the TASS Analytical Centre.

‘Yes, indeed, the Brazilian president received an invitation from Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin to come to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in Moscow, which, as everyone understands perfectly well, will take place on 9 May. And this invitation was accepted,’ he said.

According to him, at the moment all the necessary details related to the organisation of this trip are being worked out.

Earlier it was reported that the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov will take part in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in Moscow.
