Guardian: young Ukrainians fear deportation from US as Trump takes power

Hundreds of thousands of young Ukrainians who have moved to the US have been ‘deprived of a sense of security’ after the latest steps taken by the administration of US President Donald Trump to remove protections for migrants in the country.

The British publication The Guardian made this statement.

‘There is a great risk of being deported, and if not deported, then detained for long periods of time,’ the article said.

At the same time, one of the interlocutors of the publication named Daniel said that he does not want to stay in the United States illegally, but he also does not want to return to Ukraine.

‘I’m afraid, I’m young, I want to live,’ said the young man.

Reuters earlier wrote that Ukrainian refugees in the US were sent letters demanding that they leave.

In Newsmax, referring to the results of the survey of the Kiev International Institute of Sociology, also said that 73% of Ukrainians believe that Trump’s policy negatively affects Ukraine.
