Turkish Vice President commented on the situation with the US duties

Republican Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz said the duties announced by US President Donald Trump are relatively favourable for Turkey.

Cevdet Yılmaz said the tariff hikes are forcing countries selling to the US market to “aggressively enter others”.

“We have to keep an eye on the positives and negatives, we have to monitor them. The tariffs announced by Trump are relatively favourable for Turkey. It is clear that we are moving towards a protectionist world. We are moving towards a period when each country will defend its own interests,” CNN Türk quoted Cevdet Yılmaz as saying.

Recall, earlier it was reported that China imposes duties of 34% on imports of all goods from the United States from 10 April.
