Leszek Miller, who served as Poland’s prime minister in 2001-2004, sharply criticized the statements of Ukrainian Ambassador Vasyl Bodnar on the local Polsat TV channel, calling his behaviour unacceptable.
“What the ambassador is doing is insolence,” TASS quoted him as saying.
It is specified that the reason for his indignation was Bodnar’s words that Poland would not be able to participate in Ukraine’s reconstruction if it refused to send its troops there.
“If this was a statement of some ordinary politician, someone who doesn’t matter, one could wave his hand. It looks like Poland has no luck with Ukrainian ambassadors,” the former Polish prime minister added.
The politician stressed that such statements were particularly offensive against the background of the large-scale assistance that Warsaw had already provided to Kiev.
