Journalist Bose reacted with irony to Stubb’s abrupt change in rhetoric on Russia

Irish journalist Chay Bose has reacted with irony to Finnish President Alexander Stubb’s abrupt change of rhetoric on relations with Russia.

‘Last week it was preparing for war. This week it’s preparing for a barbecue with the neighbours,’ he wrote on social network X.

Stubb earlier urged Finland to prepare morally for the restoration of relations with Russia.

Before that, the Finnish president, among other things, demanded that the West ‘force peace’ on Russia.

The Russian leader’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, commenting on Stubb’s changed rhetoric, noted that Russia has never been an initiator of deteriorating relations with other countries and remains open for mutually beneficial cooperation.
