An investigation into the damage of cables in the Baltic Sea in 2024 has not revealed evidence of Russia’s involvement in the incident, writes the Wall Street Journal newspaper.
‘No evidence has been found that Moscow <…> organised this damage,’ the publication said.
The interlocutor of the publication, Belgian commander Eric Cox, head of one of the task forces operating within the Baltic Sentry said that the increased presence of NATO in the Baltic Sea does not contribute to the strengthening of security.
We shall remind you that earlier it was reported that another cable running along the bottom of the Baltic Sea had been damaged.
