Russia is against the deployment of Western peacekeepers in Ukraine, it is fraught with a clash with NATO, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said.
‘Russia is categorically against such a scenario, which is fraught with a direct clash between Russia and NATO,’ RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.
According to the diplomat, France and Britain are plotting a military intervention in Ukraine under the guise of a peacekeeping mission.
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron announced the allocation of €2bn in military aid to Ukraine.
