Trump has threatened the EU and Canada with more duties

US President Donald Trump has threatened to impose more duties on the European Union and Canada if their co-operation is aimed at hurting Washington.

“If the EU decides to co-operate with Canada to economically harm the U.S., I will retaliate by imposing massive duties against them – much harsher than currently planned,” Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social.

He noted that the new duties would be much higher than the current ones to protect the U.S. – “the best friend either of these two countries have ever had.”

Recall, earlier Donald Trump said that from 2 April duties of 25% will be imposed on countries that buy oil and gas from Venezuela.
