Guardian: Trump unlikely to fire Waltz over Signal scandal

US leader Donald Trump is unlikely to make a decision to fire National Security Adviser Mike Waltz amid a scandal involving leaked military plans on messenger Signal, The Guardian reports.

“Donald Trump is unlikely to fire Mike Waltz or anyone else involved in the infamous exchange of military plans in a group chat room to avoid even an implicit admission of guilt,” the publication said.

According to the sources, Trump has praised Waltz and his team members for their response to the events surrounding the leak.

Officials are confident that the American President will continue to consider the incident as a low-profile.

Earlier, members of the US administration were sued after the Signal chat scandal.
