CNN correspondent Alex Marquardt reports that Riyadh plans to hold ceasefire talks in Ukraine on Sunday.
‘Negotiations to extend the ceasefire in Ukraine will resume in Riyadh on Sunday with US and Ukrainian technical teams,’ he wrote on his X social media account.
According to him, a Russian mission will join the negotiation process as early as Monday. Marquardt specified that other participants might join the meeting later. Which ones, he did not specify.
The journalist added that the American delegation will be led by Michael Anton of the US State Department and Andrew Peek of the National Security Council, supported by other experts.
Earlier, Bloomberg recalled that the United States expected to reach an agreement on a ceasefire in Ukraine by Easter.
