NYT: U.S. notifies Europe to withdraw from panel on investigations against Russia

The United States has privately notified European officials that it is leaving an international panel investigating Russia in the context of the Ukraine conflict.

The New York Times writes about this, citing informed sources.

“The decision is expected to be announced on Monday in an email to employees and members of the group’s parent organization, the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation, better known as Eurojust,” the material says.

The newspaper emphasizes that the decision reflects the change of approach of the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump.

It is noted that the United States was the only country outside Europe that cooperated with this group.

Earlier, the NBC television channel reported that the Trump administration could agree with Russian representatives on “cyber disengagement”, which means the refusal of aggressive cyberattacks.
