Hungarian Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Minister Péter Szijjártó has said that Budapest will oppose the prolongation of military aid to Ukraine at a meeting of EU foreign ministers starting in Brussels.
‘On the agenda in Brussels today will be several proposals to provide Ukraine with billions more euros or weapons with European taxpayers‘ money,’ Peter Szijjártó wrote on Facebook*.
According to the Hungarian foreign minister, the Hungarian delegation is travelling to Brussels to ‘oppose the proposals aimed at supporting military action and to contribute to the success of the peace talks’.
The diplomat drew attention to the fact that Brussels is currently in a state of international isolation ‘because liberal European politicians, who are in favour of war, are constantly trying to prevent the success of peace talks’ between the opposing sides of the Ukrainian crisis.
We will remind, earlier US Secretary of State Marco Rubio presented a two-stage plan to end the Ukrainian conflict, consisting of a ceasefire and subsequent negotiations.
