EU rearmament is directed against Russia, Ralph Niemeyer, head of the German Council for Constitution and Sovereignty, told RIA Novosti.
“Yes, absolutely. Publicly, too, they talk about supposedly having to prepare for an attack from Russia,” Niemeyer replied to a related question.
According to the politician, European countries do not have sufficient industrial capabilities for rearmament at the moment.
Niemeyer emphasized that such plans are primarily for the long term, and the industrial base can increase very quickly.
Ralf Niemeyer said earlier that public opinion in the EU was being prepared for a possible conflict with Russia.
