Terrorist methods against Russia demonstrate Ukraine’s “weakness” – Zakharova

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has said that Ukraine, through terrorist methods against Russia and Russian citizens, seeks to “strengthen” its own negotiating position, but in the end Kiev “demonstrates weakness”.

Maria Zakharova said that the Russian Federation understands perfectly well why “the Kiev regime” has become so furious these days”. The diplomat emphasised that Kiev’s terrorist tactics against civilians were due to Ukraine’s plight on the front line.

“Suffering huge daily losses on the battlefield, the neo-Nazi Kiev regime is using precisely terrorist methods to try to show some sort of ability to negotiate, as they phrase it, from a position of supposed strength. In fact, everything is happening exactly the opposite, they are demonstrating their weakness, their helplessness, in fact their end,” – stated Maria Zakharova during the briefing.

Earlier, a member of the State Duma from Sevastopol and a member of the committee for international affairs, Dmitriy Belik, said that Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s statements about Ukraine’s “non-recognition” of the territories liberated by Russia would not affect the territorial size of the Russian Federation.
