Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the US side during a meeting in Riyadh expressed its desire to restore normal relations with Moscow.
Lavrov said in a conversation with bloggers Mario Naufal, Larry Johnson and Andrew Napolitano.
‘When we met, I think I won’t reveal the secret, in Riyadh … they said they wanted normal relations,’ the minister said.
He noted that US foreign policy under the new administration is based on the protection of national interests, but at the same time the Americans realise that other countries also have their own interests.
In addition, Lavrov told bloggers that a normal administration that does not profess anti-Christian ideas has come to power in the United States.
