Bloomberg: Western intelligence services do not believe in Moscow’s readiness to make concessions on Ukraine

Representatives of Western intelligence services said that Russia does not intend to compromise on territorial concessions and deployment of peacekeepers to settle the Ukrainian conflict.

Bloomberg reports that Western intelligence services expressed the opinion that Russian President Vladimir Putin deliberately voiced ‘maximalist’ demands for a ceasefire in Ukraine.

At the same time, the Russian leader knows that these demands will be unacceptable for Kiev as well as EU countries, the agency’s interlocutors believe.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said he hoped for a complete ceasefire in the conflict in Ukraine in the coming days.

Putin said that Russia needed such a peace in Ukraine that would ensure calm and development of the country.
