United States President Donald Trump plans to sign an executive order to set up metal processing facilities at US military bases, Reuters reports, citing two senior officials.
‘US President Donald Trump intends to build metal processing facilities at Pentagon military bases as part of his plan to boost domestic production of critical minerals and offset China’s control over the sector,’ the agency quoted one of the sources as saying.
Reuters also noted that under the decree, the Pentagon will cooperate with other federal agencies to install processing plants on their bases.
