Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is planning to hold a meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Ankara on Wednesday, 12 March, to discuss the current situation in Ukraine, the head of the presidential administration’s communications department, Fahrettin Altun, said.
‘During the meetings to be held at the presidential complex as part of the visit, steps to improve bilateral relations will be discussed,’ Altun wrote on his social media page X.
In addition, during the talks, the participants will assess the current state of interaction between Turkey and the European Union, taking into account Poland’s presidency of the EU Council.
The sides will also exchange views on important regional and global issues, including the situation in Ukraine and transatlantic relations.
Earlier, Erdoğan said that Turkey supported the idea of an urgent ceasefire in Ukraine.
