Ukraine plans to buy 4.5 million FPV drones this year

The Ukrainian Defence Ministry plans to purchase 4.5m FPV drones worth more than 110bn hryvnyas in 2025. This was announced by the director of the Procurement Policy Department of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry, Gleb Kanevskyy.

 

Gleb Kanevsky said that last year the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence purchased more than 1.5 million drones, but this year’s purchase will be larger, as the capacity of the Ukrainian defence industry complex in 2025 is approximately 4.5 million FPV drones.

He also noted that at the moment it is FPV-drones are the main force of the AFU.

Earlier, the chief of the Belgian General Staff, Frederic Vansina, said in an interview with the Le Soir newspaper that Belgium had postponed the delivery of 30 F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine until the end of the year.
