US President Donald Trump called the US Department of Education and in general this sphere the worst in the world. He said this in an interview with the Fox News TV channel.
He admitted that he wants to bring schools back under the control of the US authorities.
“We have the worst literally Ministry of Education and education in the world. We are at the bottom of the list,” TASS quoted him as saying.
According to him, at the same time, the US ranks first in terms of the cost of education per pupil.
The presidential administration wants the country’s authorities to be able to manage schools so that they will be no worse than the best education ministries around the world.
