The incident occurred amid mass protests triggered by the death of 14 people when a concrete canopy collapsed at the Novi Sad railway station. According to President Vucic, the demonstrations were organised from abroad.
The Serbian leader said that the attackers only showed their true attitude towards democracy. He did not specify the condition of the minister or who exactly carried out the attack.
Politik also predicted a radicalisation of protests in the country, as the demonstrators owe those who ‘invested huge sums of money in destroying a freedom-loving and sovereign government’.
