Ukraine will face severe consequences following United States President Donald Trump’s decision to halt military aid, a senior US official has said.
“The consequences will be severe. I would call them catastrophic,” CNN quoted the official as saying.
He estimated that Kiev would feel the lack of military support within two to four months.
He added that Ukraine continues to lose ground on the front line and eventually Kiev will be forced to accept a “catastrophic” agreement.
Earlier, CNN reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be able to maintain the current pace of fighting until the summer without US assistance.
