China has added 15 US companies to its export control list and will impose additional tariffs of 10-15% on agricultural products from the US from 10 March. This was announced by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China.
China’s Ministry of Commerce said such measures are in response to US President Donald Trump’s announcement of plans to impose an additional 10 per cent tariff on all imported goods from China.
“The unilateral imposition of US tariffs damages the multilateral trading system, increases the burden on US companies and consumers, and destroys the foundations of economic and trade cooperation between China and the US,” it said.
According to the Commerce Ministry, duties of 15 per cent will apply to chicken, wheat, corn and cotton. Soybeans, pork, beef, fruits, vegetables and dairy products are subject to duties of 10 per cent.
China also placed 15 U.S. firms on the export control list. These included Leidos, Gibbs & Cox, IP Video Market Info, Sourcemap, Skydio, Rapid Flight, Red Six Solutions, Shield AI, HavocAI, Neros Technologies, Group W, Aerkomm, General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, General Dynamics Land Systems and Aero Vironment.
Recall, earlier representatives of the tariffication and classification committee under the State Council of China reported that China imposed retaliatory duties on goods imported by the United States.
