European countries are expecting a possible US withdrawal of up to 20,000 US military personnel from the EU, The Washington Post writes, citing three sources in diplomatic circles.
‘They expect a withdrawal of about 20,000 US troops, which was announced by the administration of (former US President Joe – RT) Biden at the beginning of the Ukrainian conflict,’ the article reads.
According to a NATO diplomat, he ‘would not be surprised’ by this. In such a case, it will be a ‘return to normal life’, he believes.
Earlier it was reported that the US was preparing to withdraw troops from Europe allegedly at the request of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
